Phoebe--CH Dawin Reigate Up Up and Away, CD UIC
Phoebe was my first girl, and she has both challenged and reinforced my preconceptions about bitches. One of my first comments about Phoebe after getting her at four months still holds true today: Phoebe is very sweet and very naughty, and uses her sweetness to further her naughtiness! Phoebe was bred by Linda Campbell of Dawin Poodles, and I co-own her with her and Suzanne Loblaw, Reigate Poodles. We chose her registered name to suit her light-hearted nature and graceful, easy way of moving--I never trained Phoebe not to jump up on me because she does it so lightly--just barely resting a paw on me for balance. Phoebe was beautifully presented in the show ring by Kaz Hosaka. Once she finished, she changed into playclothes and we began training in Obedience and other fun things. She has earned her Companion Dog Obedience title and is almost ready to show in Open Obedience. Phoebe is very (very very) birdy, and easily earned her Upland Instinct certificate at PCA. Phoebe has a lovely, sensible temperament and gracefully adapts to her environment, be it the field, a dog show, the classroom, or a nursing home. Phoebe is a petite but solid girl at around 22" and 40 lbs. She is highly food and toy oriented and likes to have a toy in her mouth when heading up to bed or greeting somebody at the door. She passes on her sweet temperament, love of food and toys, brains, and naughtiness on to her puppies.
